Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research, Ltd. has made significant advances gaining prestigious quality accreditations. UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation was first achieved in 2003. In 2019 the ISO17025 accreditation was moved to the USA based A2LA accreditation body. In 2004 WMT&R Limited was one of the first independent laboratories in Europe to gain Nadcap accreditation for Materials Testing Laboratories, followed soon after by Nadcap Non-Metallic Materials Testing (NMMT).

Nadcap is a recognized worldwide accreditation and its subscribers include aerospace primes and O.E.M’s such as Airbus, Boeing, Honeywell, GEAE and Rolls-Royce, many of whom also approve the WMT&R facilities with their specific approval programs.

The latter qualification has enabled us to join a very select group of independent European laboratories with Nadcap accreditation. Our Company plays an active role within the aerospace community via Nadcap through its committee representation, and we are also proud of our individual OEM approvals, for example General Electric Aircraft Engines, MTU, Rolls-Royce, Safran, Airbus, Airbus Canada (Bombardier) Honeywell, Embraer. We are also Cyber Essentials certified via IASME.
