Here at WMT&R, Ltd. we regard the onsite machine shop as a key part of our service package. Our state-of-the-art machining centre allows machining of all test specimens in-house and on-site to the exacting tolerances required by our customer's company drawings. The full service machine shop is fully equipped with CNC mills and lathes and manual/automatic mills. Roughing lathes and bulk sawing capacity, including a 3 metre width sheet guillotine, enable us to cut difficult and complex shapes and materials so that test pieces can be obtained from almost any artefact.

The Machine Shop is a key aspect of our in-house quality control, employing machinists with experience working in tool rooms, manufacturing facilities and Motor Sport ventures.

Our mechanical test specimen preparation procedures includes speciality polishing to meet the requirements of International standards.
