WMT&R, Ltd. offers
various heat treatment practices and quenching in either oil or water media,
with either electric or fan assisted electric ovens. AMS-2750 is utilized. Data
logging is used to record time/temperature profiles.
Heat Treatment of Metals and Alloys
Heat treatment processes are performed on metallic components to provide a range
of material properties. Examples of heat treatments include:
Alloyed
aluminum sheet:
Soft annealing 400°C to 450°C
Recovery by annealing 300°C to 400°C
Solution heat treatment 470°C to 550°C plus quench
Elevated-temperature age hardening 120°C to 200°C
Steel and titanium:
Stress-free annealing and straightening at 600°C
A range of programmable high temperature
furnaces and ovens enable the application of required heat treatments
to metals and alloys.
Programmable functionality simulates industrial thermal practices
including adhesive bond curing cycles.
Preset ramp up and cool down cycles available
Combinations of furnace size and temperature include:
20x21x50cm up to 750°C
21x21x30cm up to 1000°C
128x125x64cm up to 500°C
Humidity Oven available:
65x55x50cm
Parts and components can be accommodated to a maximum of 1000°C
here at our UK testing lab, and up to 2700° F at our
USA testing laboratory.
